Helmed by four-time Grammy Award winning producer (and longtime Los Lobos member) Steve Berlin, Queen Kerosene is a colorful, kaleidoscopic record whose songs make room for soul, Tex-Mex, groove-driven R&B, Americana, jazz, honky-tonk, and heartland rock & roll. It was recorded at The Finishing School in Austin, Texas with a band of Austin-based musicians — including harmony singer and fiddle player Carrie Rodriguez and accordion player Josh Baca.
